ORGANIZER
Lukavac Cement Factory is the leading producer of portland and masonry cement in BiH and is one of the most modern European factories. Lukavac Cement Factory started operating back in 1974. A significant turning point in business occurred in 2001, when the Austrian investor, ASAMER Group, successfully privatized the company. This year, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of one of the most successful privatizations in BiH. Over 125 million euros have been invested in the modernization and construction of new plants. With the construction of a completely new hot line, the annual production capacities amount to about 700,000 tons of clinker and 900,000 tons of cement.
Since 2014, the factory’s business has been expanded to the ready-mixed concrete section. It started its own production in concrete plants in Sarajevo and Banja Luka. The factory is 50% owner of the Limestone Mine “Vijenac”, an industrial quarry which, in addition to Lukavac Cement, supplies limestone to other factories in the town of Lukavac and provides stone aggregates for making concrete and lower layers of asphalt.
Lukavac Cement Factory stands out in the entire region due to the use of alternative fuels. Thanks to modern technology and equipment, the production process is resulting in high-quality cement products: Premiluk, Supraluk, Fineluk, Sulfaluk and Lumal, which are suitable for various purposes in today’s modern construction with their exceptional features.
